We are adult competitive ice dancers. Ice dancing is ballroom dancing on ice.
We are middle-aged in a sport associated with teenagers and 20-somethings, which means we aren't headed for the Olympics and you won't see us on TV.
When we were kids, Tim was a national champion roller dancer and Terri skated singles on ice but always wanted to compete in dance (there were no boys to dance with). Terri has passed her standard gold dance test and Silver Samba. Tim has passed his silver dance test and Starlight Waltz.
Terri is also a judge and referee for dance, singles and pairs.
In our first year together we won a silver medal at the U.S. Adult National Championships. We are proof that you are never too old to pursue your dreams.
"You compete how you train. If you train well, you compete well. It's not about who's lucky; it's about who's prepared."
